About Us

Welcome

Welcome to the website of the Association of Catholic School Principals NSW. The Association exists to promote Catholic Education through the strong voice of Catholic School Principals.

The Executive Committee has representatives from NSW Diocesan Principals and a representative from a Congregational School. In addition, since 2013, the Chairpersons from the eleven Diocesan Principals’ Associations, or their representative, have been invited to attend the Executive Meetings to ensure that issues from all the Principals are heard.

Meeting four times per year, the Executive is regularly briefed by the Catholic Education Commission NSW and BOSTES. ACSP is also represented on the NSW branch of Principals Australia Institute and the Catholic Schools Debating Association. At the national level representatives from ACSP sit on the Boards of Australian Primary Principals Association (APPA), Australian Catholic Primary Principals Association (ACPPA) and Catholic Secondary Principals Australia (CaSPA). As all the Executive members are full-time Principals in schools, an Executive Officer is employed on a part-time basis to assist with managing the day-to-day business of the Association.

In order to be a dynamic organisation, taking the lead with the education agenda in NSW, ACSP needs members to be engaged in dialogue with us. Through our regular newsletter we aim to keep members up-to-date with issues and through your representatives we aim to have your voices heard in the forums where it matters. I look forward to meeting many of you and having Catholic School Principals as a publicly recognised positive voice for education in this state.
